The Kentucky Indy 300 is an IndyCar Series race held at the Kentucky Speedway in Sparta, Kentucky.
The IndyCar IRL series started the race in 2000. In the 2002 race, Sarah Fisher won the lead position, the first as by the female racer in the big open wheel competition.
During the 2002 Infiniti Pro Series exercise, Jason Priestley suffered serious injuries after an accident.
After the 2011 race, IndyCar failed to reach an agreement with the track to bring the race to Speedway for the 2012 season.
