Reception

"The violence is ultra-modern and the fight is a literary equivalent of contemporary martial arts film and is played with cinematic speed and ballet grace. The novel is full of well-researched information... It is said in a straightforward way but includes elements of magic, fantasy, romance and courtesy.Vertically it has not yet published a book that, without its commitment to contemporary Japanese literature, will never be translated into English.
