Histori
The amphitheater opened in 1996, with 7,500 seats, beneath the pavilion and 12,500 public park entrance seats, and since then, due to the size and target audience, has organized a concert with a big name in the music industry. In March 2010, it removed its company prefix ("Verizon Wireless") for the first time in its 14-year history, to be known simply as "Virginia Beach Amphitheater". In February 2011, the amphitheater was renamed "Farm Bureau Live in Virginia Beach", with naming rights stemming from Virginia Farm Bureau Insurance. In January 2016, it was announced that the venue would be renamed "Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater in Virginia Beach."
The amphitheater has five adjoining side-by-side car parks, and parking fees are included in the ticket price for most shows. The facility has two main seating areas; the main fixed seating area under the canopy and the two grass areas behind the fixed seat and partially covered by the canopy. This facility rents out small garden chairs for customers who have purchased garden chairs and allowed concert goers to bring blankets.
