The ad is part of a campaign developed by the advertising agency Wieden Kennedy London. Creative directors and contributors include Kim Papworth, Sean Thompson, Chris Groom, Tony Davidson, and agency producer Julia Methold. Directed by Ivan Zacharias and producer Nick Landon came from the Stink film production company where the ads were hosted. The director of photography is Jan Velicky. The original ad changed slightly for the 2006 FIFA World Cup campaign of the English national football team. Flags featuring St George's Cross added to most of the scenes in commercials, such as on the back of the motorcycle and in the caravan shown at the beginning. In addition, the hot air balloon that appears at the end has a large George Cross on it, replacing the text "Honda". The original ad, along with the British remake spent 4.5 million pounds to produce.

Production and karaoke versions of the videos are also created. This ad was never released in the United States. The original version closes with a message intended exclusively for the UK, while the Australian version closes with a voiceover by Garrison Keillor saying "I can not say it better myself" (This is now the standard version used in the UK).

His music Andy Williams sang "Impossible Dream (The Quest)" from the album Most Requested Songs . This song is from the musical Don Quixote Man of La Mancha . Songwriter Joe Darion won the Tony 1965/66 award for best Broadway lyrics. The last verses of the song are removed to fit within two minutes.
