The Honda XR100R is a four-stroke off-road motor introduced in 1985, four years after the introduction of the XR100. It has become popular for learning riders. That changed little over the past two decades of production run.

Engine
This motor is built to handle racing and hard driving field. The engine is a 99cc single cylinder air-cooled system. The compression ratio is 9.4: 1 and boring and stroke is 2.1 inches 1.8 inches. The whole configuration adds up to about 6Ã, hp output. This gives the motor a friendly power curve but also a lot of torque and power for beginners or smaller riders.
Aesthetics
Debuting in red, the bike color never changes. Since the bike made its debut, the most striking difference between the XR100 and the standard XR100 is the use of the customized Pro-Link single-coil-over swing-arm suspension system instead of an older single roll coil. The gas tank shifted from metal to plastic, plastic design changed slightly over the years.
