Ashley Chrisha Marie Everett (born April 19, 1989) is an American dancer and actress. He is best known as a dancer and main dancer for Beyoncà © ©, and has also worked with Usher, Ne-Yo, Tina Turner and Ciara, among other artists. He often features high-profile music videos, television commercials, and concert tours.
Everett began his career in New York City at Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, where he met choreographer Frank Gatson, Jr., who later gave him the opportunity to meet and audition for Beyonce. At the age of 17, he quit the Juilliard School to join Beyonce in 2007, The BeyoncÃÆ' © Experience Tour. After taking over the role of the dance captain in 2009 at the age of 19, Everett continues to work with Beyoncà ©  in every major concert tour, a number of TV commercials, and has danced or acted in at least 20 music videos with the singer. He also began working with various other musical artists, and expanded his career into acting with a role in the third season of VH1 Hit Hit Floor series, which aired in 2015.
In 2008, Everett was one of two leading dancers in the music video for "Single Woman (Put Ring on it)", which garnered over 580 million YouTube views and became world-renowned for its dance and choreography. He also performed with Beyoncà ©  © at the Super Bowl XLVII event in 2013, as the main dancer and also at the Super Bowl 50 event in the second half. Distinguished onstage with its curly signature, red afro, Everett is trained as a contemporary ballet dancer as a child, and has also mastered various styles including beats, jazz, street and hip hop.

Everett was born and raised in Chico, California. He is a mixed race with his mother being African American and his father being White. Everett has stated that growing up in Chico is a challenge for him to be a mixed race, because "you do not fit in with white people because you're too dark and you do not fit in with blacks because you're too light."

Everett began dancing at the age of three, which comes from ballet, but also trains faucet and jazz. At the age of sixteen, Everett moved to New York City to train at Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. During the training session here, Everett met the choreographer BeyoncÃÆ' © at the time, Frank Gatson, Jr. About two months later, Everett attended an open audition for Beyoncà © ©. Gatson remembered Everett and finally ended up reciting his work with Beyonce.
At seventeen Everett began working with BeyoncÃÆ' © by dancing in a music video. BeyoncÃÆ' © is currently working on a video anthology album for B'Day (2006), and is filming several videos. Everett danced in "Green Light" and "Get Me Bodied". After this, Everett embarked on his first worldwide concert tour with The BeyoncÃÆ' © Experience (2007). Everett appeared as a backup dancer for 96 shows. Prior to The BeyoncÃÆ'  © Experience, Everett was accepted and enrolled at Juilliard School, but finally decided not to go, due to tour with Beyoncà © © and wanted to pursue his dance career in this way.
In 2008, Everett began by performing with one of his idols, Tina Turner, at the 50th Annual Grammy Awards 2008 with Beyoncà © ©. She appeared on the video for "Love in This Club" by Usher and started a working relationship with her. In October of the same year, a video for "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)" was released, featuring J-Setting choreography and containing only Beyoncà © ©, Everett and dancers Ebony Williams. Since then it has become viral, garnering over 580 million views and has been re-created thousands of times. It also won the MTV Video Music Award for Video of the Year. Everett is featured in the videos for "Ego" and "Sweet Dreams" from I Am... Sasha Fierce (2008), and embarked on his second world tour with Beyoncà ©  ©, at I... World Tour ( 2009-10). Here, Everett appeared as a female Dance Captain for the entire tour. In 2010, Everett started a working relationship with Ne-Yo and featured in his three music videos from his album Libra Scale (2010); "One in a Million", "The Life of Champagne", and "Beautiful Monster". In 2011, Everett appeared in three videos from Beyoncà ©  © 's 4 (2011).
In 2012, Ashley also became one of the dancers in Glee in season 4, episode 16 during the appearance of Naya Rivera from Cold Hearted Snake.
On February 3, 2013, Everett served as the main dancer for the Super Bowl XLVII show in the first half with Beyonce. This performance was watched by 110.8 million Americans. After the show, BeyoncÃÆ'  © announces The Mrs Carter Show World Tour (2013-14), where Everett will act as chairman of Dance Head for 132 gigs. In the buildup of the tour, Everett appeared in Life Is But a Dream, and television commercials aired worldwide for H & amp; M and in the UK for O2. Everett appeared in six videos from BeyoncÃÆ' ©'s visual self-titled album, including the lead role in "Heaven". Two months after The Mrs. Carter Show ends, Everett is announced as the main Dance Captain for Jay-Z and BeyoncÃÆ' © all the On the Run Tour stadium (2014). Everett appeared as a backup dancer for most of the Usher The UR Experience Tour (2014-15), but missed a few shows due to shoot Hit the Floor . In February 2016, Everett joined Beyoncà ©  © in the Super Bowl for the second time during the first 50 Super Bowl show, with Beyoncà ©  © and Bruno Mars acting as special guests for the Coldplay headlining show. The show was watched by 115.5 million people in America. After the show, The Formation World Tour was announced, the 49th all stadium tour with Everett again serving as a dance captain for Beyoncà © ©.
Everett also dances and works with Robin Thicke, Ciara, La Toya Jackson and Jennifer Lopez.
Action
Everett is featured in the pilot episode Hit the Floor , as a Peyton character. By the end of 2014 Everett says he's filming for the upcoming third season of the series. In 2012 Everett appeared in the final episode of the second season Shake It Up . In 2013, Everett starred in BeyoncÃÆ' © in the video to "Heaven" from the album BeyoncÃÆ' © (2013). The video is Everett's first non-dancing role with Beyoncà © ©, and featuring Everett playing the "basket list" scenario with his best friend on screen, Beyoncà © ©. Everett has stated how he wants and hopes to become more acting, including non-dancing roles. He stated in 2014, "Movies and cinematography and things that go on forever and that is something really great and very special for me.This will last longer than I live and my children and my grandchildren and their children and their grandchildren can always see me and that's what creates your inheritance. "
Beyond acting, Everett has appeared on television networks such as Fox 32 and WCIU-TV to be interviewed and teaches news anchor dance moves, as well as promoting concert tours he made on the date of the interview.

Everett is professionally trained in contemporary ballet, and is also trained in taps and jazz while growing in his skills. His work with popular music artists such as Beyoncà ©  © and Ciara often see Everett performing with hip-hop and street dance styles, although some ballet elements are implemented into certain performances.

Everett is mostly known for its bright red hair, often styled as an afro. Everett stated that it was Beyoncà © © who originally asked him to color his hair, and that despite his constantly destructive death, it has become so recognized that it will be missed by fans if he changes it.

Everett has stated that his greatest dance influence and the most desirable artist to work for is Janet Jackson. He has also named Michael Jackson if he is alive and Justin Timberlake as another artist that he wants to dance with. Everett also stated that he was influenced and inspired by the work ethics of Beyoncà ©  ©.
