Honda CMX250 , or Rebel 250 , is a 234Ã, cc (14,3Ã, cuÃ) cruiser motorcycle crafted by Honda on and off since 1985. Using 234Ã, the same cc (14.3 cuÃ, in) straight-twin engine as the standard Honda Nighthawk 250. The Rebel is part of the CM cruiser series. These are typically used in certified Motorcycle Safety Foundation rider training courses.
Rebel fuel consumption averaged 52-62.6 mpg -US (4.52-3,76 L/100 km; 62,4-75,2 mpg -imp ), with the required refill at about 190 miles (310 km). The 1996 Rebel has the best fuel economy, 62.6 miles per gallon US (3.76 L/100 km, 75.2 mpg -imp ), out of 352 models past and currently tested in 2010 Consumer News Motor (MCN) Performance Index. In 2012, Rebel's 1996 fuel economy has been surpassed by several models on the MCN Performance Index, led by Yamaha Virago 250 at 66.9 mpg -US (3.52 L/100 km; 80.3 mpg -imp ). The maximum speed is 70 miles per hour (110 km/h), and 0 to 60 mph (0 to 97 km/h) time is 11.86 seconds, with 0 to 1 /< sub> 4 mi (0.000.40 km) time 17.86 seconds at 68.55 mph (110.32 km/h). The wet weight is 320 pounds (150 kg).
It has a single disc brake in front and a drum on the back. The only measuring device is a speedometer that includes gear recommendations based on speed; no tachometer. Transmission is the 1st, 2nd to 5th 5th-speed standard.
The September 1985 Motorcycles magazine, when the Rebels were first introduced, said, "by targeting bikes to young audiences, like those watching MTV, Honda hopes to attract newcomers and expand motorcycles. Honda does not market this bike as a women's bicycle. "
According to American Honda, 2016 will be the last year model for the Honda Rebel 250 for sale there. The completely new version coming from CBR250R was unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show 2017 in Japan.

Police use
The Metropolitan Police Department of the District of Columbia began buying Rebel in the early 1980s to replace the Vespa scooters they had previously used, but in the mid-2000s, MPD decided to start replacing the Rebels with Harley Davidson XL 883 Sportster, citing the need for more power , durability, and visibility.
