Honda Celebration of Light (formerly known as Benson & Hedges Symphony of Fire ) is an annual musical fireworks competition in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The first "Symphony of Fire" was held from 25 July to 5 August 1990. This celebration is one of Vancouver's largest and most famous festivals, and is recognized as the world's oldest offshore fireworks competition. The events of recent days have an estimated annual attendance of 1.4 million people.

2018 program
The 2018 Honda Light celebration will take place on July 28, August 1 and August 4. The participating countries will be South Africa, represented by Fireworks for Africa; Sweden, represented by Unique Pyrotechnic; and South Korea, by Daehan Fireworks Co. For the first time, all three competitors were asked to incorporate the same theme into their fireworks and musical accompaniment. The theme, chosen by the public, will be love.

2017 program
The 2017 Honda Light celebration takes place on July 29, August 2, and August 5, featuring competitors from Japan, the UK and Canada. Competitor for Japan, Akariya, previously won the Honda Light Celebration 2014. Widely recognized as the first pyrotechnic company in the UK, multi-award winner Jubilee Fireworks Ltd became the first "Champions of Champions" holder after winning both national competitions: The British Fireworks Championships and The British Musical Fireworks Championships. Royal Pyrotechnie, recognized as Canada's most decorated fireworks firm, is the only group to win three Jupiter Gold awards during the annual competition of L'International des Feux Loto-Quà © Å © bec.
To celebrate Canada's 150th anniversary, each competitor is required to enter one iconic Canadian song into their view, extending the length of the traditional show (25 minutes) for an additional 3 minutes (for a total of 28 minutes). The songs were chosen by the public on the Honda Celebration of Light Facebook page; the three selected were "Ahead by a Century" by The Tragically Hip, "Hallelujah" by Leonard Cohen, and "Summer of '69" by Bryan Adams. The winner of the competition is Japan.
2016 program
The 2016 Honda Light celebration takes place on July 23, July 27 and July 30. The event features Dutch, Australian and US competitions. In particular, 2016 is the first time that the Netherlands has competed in the event. The Walt Disney Company, the largest consumer of fireworks in the world, is a competitor to the United States, while Australia is represented by Howard & amp; The children, which included the opening and closing ceremonies for the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney and the opening and closing ceremonies for the Commonwealth Games 2010 in Delhi and the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne. 2015 program
The 2015 Honda Light celebration is scheduled for July 25th, July 29th, and August 1st. For the 25th anniversary of the event, three rivals returning from China, Brazil and Canada participated. The winner of the 2015 competition is Canada.
2014 program
The 2014 Honda Light Festival is scheduled for July 26, July 30, and August 2, featuring performances by the United States, France, and Japan respectively. The competitors are newcomers to Vancouver, although their previous country has participated before. The winner of the 2014 competition is Japan.
2013 program
The 2013 Honda Celebration of Light is scheduled for July 27, July 31, and August 3, with performances respectively by England, Canada and Thailand. 2013 is the first year that Thailand participates in this event as part of the organizers' ongoing efforts to introduce the new nation to the program each year. The winner of the 2013 competition is Canada.
2012 program
The 2012 Honda Light Celebration is seeing teams from Vietnam and Brazil as newcomers, while the Italian team Pirotecnica Soldi is more established. Canada did not participate for the first time in six years as show producers have been looking for new countries to compete from each continent over the next three years. The winner of the 2012 competition is Italy.
2011 program
The celebration of the 2011 HSBC Light presents the "Battle of Champions" featuring three previous winners of the competition: China (represented by 2009 winners of Red Eagle Industrial and Trade Co. Ltd.), Spain (represented by 2010 winners Pirotecnia Igual), and Canada (represented by 2007 and 2008 winners Archangel Fireworks Inc.). The winner for the 2011 competition is China.

2009 program
HSBC Light Award 2009 is China (Red Eagle Industrial and Trade Co. Ltd.).
2008 program
The winner of HSBC Celebration of Light 2008 is Canada, making a back-to-back victory for Archangel Fireworks Inc.
2007 program
The 2007 HSBC Light Award winner is Canada.
2006 program
The 2006 winner was Mexico, who joined the competition for the first time.
