Nashville Superspeedway is a motor racing complex located in Gladeville, Tennessee (though this track has a Lebanese address), USA, about 30 miles (48 km) southeast of Nashville. The track was built in 2001 and is currently closed to all competitive events, but has been used for driving schools and GT Academy.
It is a 1 mile long concrete slope 1 / 3 mile (2,145 km). Nashville Superspeedway is owned by Dover Motorsports Incorporated, which also owns Dover International Speedway. Nashville Superspeedway is the longest concrete oval at NASCAR during that time at NASCAR Nationwide Series and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. The capacity of the current permanent seat is about 50,000. Additional portable seats are brought in for some events, and seating capacity can be expanded to 150,000. Infrastructure is in place to expand facilities to include short tracks, drag strips, and roads only.

History
At its peak, the facility hosts four major races each year: two NASCAR Nationwide Series races and two NASCAR series Camping World Truck Series (one per year before 2010). IndyCar Series Firestone Indy 200 runs on track from its opening until 2008. Each feature event is usually accompanied by a companion event from the lower level series like ARCA and Indy Lights. NASCAR continues to show little interest in staging the Sprint Cup Series series on the track.
In October 2009, Dover Motorsports decided to close Memphis Motorsports Park, and the Memphis Truck race originally scheduled for late June 2010 was transferred to Nashville Superspeedway on April 2, one day before the annual National Series race on track. The April Truck race is known as "Nashville 200". Nashville Superspeedway became the only facility on the circuit to host two Truck Series races without hosting the NASCAR Cup event.
Like the Nashville metropolitan tradition, specially designed Gibson Les Paul guitars are presented to the winners of the contest at conventional trophies. The track also has a reputation for producing many first-time winners.
This track is called the classic term of "superspeedway" (tracks one mile (1.6 km) or longer, compared to short tracks), and is named to distinguish itself from the Fairgrounds Racing Arena.596 miles (formerly known as Nashville Speedway USA) at Tennessee State Fairgrounds near downtown Nashville. Until 1984, Nashville Speedway USA had performed a pair of 420-lap Cup competitions, but NASCAR withdrew the sanctions license from the circuit after a dispute over who would manage the trajectory that occurred prior to the start of the 1985 season.

Closure
Following a sluggish presence for a major event and no prospect of getting the Sprint Cup event, Motorsport Dover announced that the track would not seek NASCAR sanctions in 2012, effectively shutting it down, on August 3, 2011. In the announcement, Dover also hinted that the track might be sold. Tracks still available for personal use, such as cars & amp; tire testing. The track is also available, and has been used, as a filming location for various television and movie projects. Since 2012, Nashville Superspeedway has been used for testing by the NASCAR team. In 2014, there is no plan to bring the race back to the track.
Sales
On May 29, 2014, it was announced that NeXovation, Inc. (http://www.nexovation.com) will buy horse races and all assets and equipment from Dover Motorsports for $ 27 million. However, the deal never materialized and Dover Motorsports reopened the track sales on July 28, 2015. NeXovation has invested $ 2.9 million (mostly non-refundable) into the line, mostly within the extension deadline, and Dover withdrew from sales after another deadline is missed and no payment is received. The deal with NeXovation was eventually canceled, though the company lost about $ 2.9 million dollars in earnest money.
On August 25, 2016, Dover announced it had reached an agreement to sell the property to the Panattoni Development Company in a deal worth $ 44.7 million. Panattoni plans to turn the site into a distribution and logistics park. The racetrack will initially remain standing but not operating. Panattoni did not commit about his future as a motor sport venue. It seems unlikely the track will host a racing event in the future.
