Honda Integra DC5 (Japanese: ??????? DC5 ) is the fourth and last generation of Honda Compact compact sport coupe, introduced in Japan on April 13, 2001 and was produced from July 2001 to July 2006. It was introduced in North America for the 2002 model as Acura RSX (name changed from Integra because Honda wants customers to connect cars with the Acura brand, as opponents of nameplate like "Integra", "Legend." That does not mean anything).

In line with Integra's introduction of Integra platform partners, the seventh-generation Civic was introduced in 2000, Integra joined the Civic in abandoning the traditional double-wishbone Honda suspension at both ends and adopting the MacPherson struts in the front and the arm trailing suspension in the rear along with the K-series engine new replaces the B-series.

The K-series engine has a smart VTEC (or i-VTEC), which electronically adjusts the valve lift, valve duration and valve timing, giving the engine a 2.0 Â ° L flat torque curve relative to previous VTEC implementations that only adjust valve lift and valve duration.

The Integra DC5 received a facelift on the 2005 model year. The headlights and rear light assemblies lose what is called a 'teardrop' shape. This makes the assembly blend with the bumper.

Japanese

In Japan, Integra was introduced in two versions, Integra iS (later renamed Integra Type S at refresh 2004) and Integra Type R.

The JDM iS/Type S (not to be confused with RSX Type-S), which is basically the same as the Acura RSX base, features a K20A3 engine with 160 hp (120 kW) output and is offered with either a 5 speed automatic 5 speed manual transmission. Integra iS is offered in the 2002-2004 model with 15 inch steel wheels with cover, or optional 16-inch alloy 5-spoke alloy wheels. JDM Type S is offered in the 2005-2006 model, and is equipped with 17-inch 17-alloy wheels along with the Acura RSX Type-S. Integra Type R, sold in Japan has reduced weight, 220 PS/164 kW/217 hp K20A I4 engine (Japan-only; Oceania model has engine similar to Acura RSX-S), 6-speed close-ratio manual transmission, limited helical slip differential (LSD), stiff springs and shocks, high-intensity projector lamps, aluminum pedal sets, 4-piston Brembo front brake calipers, 17-inch 5-spoke spoke wheels on Bridgestone Potenza tires, Recaroed suede/interior chairs a matching, leather wrapped steering wheel MOMO, body trim, front rod support, and more. Type R does not have many fancy features (such as make-up mirror or side airbags) in Type S, according to the legacy of racing. Package C on Type R adds various accessories such as rear window wiper, remote control, folding mirror. JDM Integras iS has one interior color, Ebony, available for the first year model. After 2002, Titanium interior became available for all exterior colors. Type S has a redesigned fabric and leather upholstery. Type R has black/blue/red interior options (including colors that match Recaro seats), depending on the exterior color. Refreshed Integra Type R has a good selection of high wings, or lip baggage spoilers. Integra iS and Type S are available with sunroof, and navigation system. Additional interior and exterior accessories are available from the Modulo Honda line. Module accessories offered include interior trim (knob shift, decals, etc.), fog lamps, aero kit (front/side/rear bumper fix), wing spoiler, alloy wheels, start button, enhanced speakers, and navigation.

Oceania

Australia has four Integra models. They are simply named Integra, Integra Luxury, Integra Type R and Integra Type S. Integra Base is JDM Integra iS, while Luxury adds accessories such as leather upholstery, sunroof, and driver side/airbag passenger. Rs Australia type does not have full JDM specifications, they do not have Brembo braking system, K20A 220PS engine (instead has 200 hp K20A2), and 5-spoke 17-inch alloy wheels (Regular 16-inch 5-finger mounted, painted metal gun or white). However, Type R Australia still maintains JDM limited helix limited slip, and a full R Type interior (MOMO steering wheel, aluminum shift aluminum pedals, Recaro seats and matching color rugs)/aero (wing/front/rear bumper). The Honda Integra Type R was dropped in 2004, and was replaced by Integra Type S. Type S is mechanically identical to the USDM Acura RSX Type-S (though it has no shipping control), but is emblematic like JDM Type S. When Integra was refreshed in 2005 , Integra's base model was dropped. The only trim available in 2006 is Integra Luxury and Type S. Black interior is the only color available for redesign. For marine redesign reinforcement is provided in accordance with higher safety regulations.

New Zealand has only two models, Integra VTi and Type R. Integra VTi comes with alloy wheels as standard, but vice versa same as JDM Integra iS. Type R was also replaced by Type-S as Australia in 2004. Model NZDM Type R is equal to AUDM, but does not have ABS.

RSX Type-S has 200 hp (150 kW) (2002-2004) K20A2 or 210 hp (160 kW) K20Z1 (Labeled in 2006 as 201 hp due to revised SAE hp calculation) in 2005-2006 and close-ratio Manual transmission 6 -acceleration. In 2005, RSX received a refresher. On the outside, Acura updates the headlamps and taillights and the Type-S receives updated hatch rear spoiler. The A-Spec package is available for the Type-S model. The Canadian RSX has a much bigger wash sprayer bottle to deal with harsher weather. They are 4.5 liters vs 2.5 liters for USDM cars.

Refresher in 2005 brought the same update to the USDM car. The basic model now has standard alloy wheels (16 inch, 12 speak). Standard sportswear in 2005, optional skin in 2005-2006.

Wheel types vary according to the model year. The 2002-2004 model features 15-inch steel wheels with cover (Base), 5-spoke alloy wheels 16-inch in silver (Premium) or gunmetal (Type-S). 2005-2006 has 12 spoke wheels for Base and Premium.
